Can you manually save in bioshock infinite

The only way to know when the last time the game saved is by pressing start and choosing exit to main menu. A popup will tell you the time of the last autosave.

Ala borderlands? User Info: Eremyndil. No manual save. It really sucks. The only help is that the game, when you select exit, tells you when was the last time it auto-saved. The auto-save sign shows up in the top right corner of the screen. DLC and there currently are no plans for User Info: agility. The other night I was playing and got called away and had to go out.

The next day I went back to play and had to through about 10 mins searching all collecting all over again. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if you are one of those people who just rush through a game without taking time to explore.
