Sharing is Nice. Yes, send me a copy of this email. Oops, we messed up. It can help extend the shelf life, and water packaged in aluminum is reported to last even longer.

The higher the quality of the bottle for your water, the longer it lasts. The way you store your water bottles matters. It should be kept out of direct sunlight and never be stored in places where toxic substances think gasoline or pesticides are present. So, sip away! Just added to your cart. COVID quarantine has caused so many of us to run to our nearest grocery stores to stock up on all the items that seem to be flying off the shelf. It can be so frustrating when you run out of your house to stock up only to find your favorite brand of bottled water is gone, and you have to settle for some lesser-quality water.

The short answer is yes. Some people view the expiration dates on water bottles as just a guideline, or they think only paranoid people abide by such strict dates. But, believe it or not, the expiration dates on the plastic water bottles you buy DO matter, and you should pay attention to them.

Thankfully, bottled water has a generous expiration date compared to other types of foods. Unopened bottled water can last up to two years. Opened water bottles, however, can last a few weeks. Furthermore, many companies bottle water using the same machines they use to bottle sodas and other beverages which do expire and should carry an expiration date.

It's easier and more efficient to simply put a stamp on all the bottles whether needed or not rather than dedicating a special machine just for bottled water. Finally, expiration dates are usually only one element of a printed code that also identifies the date, bottling plant, and other information.

Even though the expiration date itself is meaningless in terms of water going bad, the manufacturing information could be useful in tracking down contamination, bottling errors or product recalls.
